✨ 2025 Recap | A Year of Engineering, Innovation & Growth ✨

As we celebrate 200 years of the railway, this year has felt especially meaningful for me.

🚆 Railway & Engineering

I had the privilege of contributing to railway route activities through the ICE Civil Engineering Challenge for Guides and Rangers—helping inspire the next generation of engineers.

Professionally, I also had the incredible opportunity to work within the Engineering and Environmental team on HS2, the UK’s largest railway programme. Being part of such a talented team and gaining exposure to the scale and complexity of world-class railway infrastructure has been truly inspiring—especially witnessing the breathtaking engineering structures shaping the future of UK rail.

🎓 Academic Growth

I continued my Master’s degree at the University of Cambridge, exploring the adoption of innovation within highly regulated environments. Returning to academia after a break—and successfully completing my first year—was a big milestone. It’s been a challenging yet rewarding journey, and I genuinely recommend the course to anyone passionate about shaping the future of infrastructure.

🤖 AI, Technology & Innovation

This year also brought exciting moments in AI and tech. I had the honour of meeting one of the godfathers of AI, Yann LeCun, and attended my first international AI conference in Barcelona. Alongside this, my AI prompts eBook is now available across multiple platforms—something I’m incredibly proud of.

💫 Personal Growth

Perhaps most importantly, 2025 taught me the value of balance. From getting married earlier this year to learning how to juggle personal, professional, and academic life, it’s been a year of growth, reflection, and gratitude.

I’m deeply thankful for the support of my family, friends, colleagues, and mentors—and excited for what lies ahead in 2026.
